DESCRIPTION:Join us Friday\, September 27\, from 12 to 2 p.m. for a Statewide Continuing Education Workshop on Telehealth: Accessing Rural Areas\, Rare Diseases and Low Incidence Populations. \nThis training will explore geographic disparities in healthcare\, examining the barriers to telehealth and possible solutions that support health equity. Presenters will describe innovative telemedicine programs and advocacy efforts\, with a particular emphasis on the disability and rare disease communities. We will discuss telehealth challenges\, including legal and regulatory barriers\, digital health literacy\, and broadband availability and affordability. Finally\, we will examine possible resources and community solutions.
