DESCRIPTION:Join us Wednesday\, October 23\, from 6 to 8 p.m. for a Statewide Continuing Education Workshop on Transition Options: Deaf Community Services\, Accommodations for College Students and Alternative Hiring Processes. \nThis workshop will explore the accommodations\, considerations and advocacy strategies for college students with disabilities and their families. We will also discuss DARS agency services\, including Pre-Employment & Transition Services\, with a focus on services that promote access for the deaf community. Finally\, we will discuss the Alternative Hiring Process\, the Commonwealth’s initiative to help individuals with disabilities pursue public-sector employment. These presentations will help attendees prepare for life beyond high school and feel more confident about navigating the college experience and finding employment. \nRegister now to attend! This meeting will be held virtually on Zoom.
